Rent to Own FAQ's
Q. I'd really like a custom storage building; can I finance a custom building with your Rent-to-Own Leasing Program?
A. Yes. We will consider special orders on a case-by-case basis. Just ask us!
Q. Am I responsible for preparing the land where my new building will be delivered?
A. Yes. You are responsible for preparing the site prior to delivery. The buildings can be placed directly on the ground or grass. If there are low spots, gravel works well. There is no need for a concrete slab.
Q. What are the upfront costs I can expect when I sign my lease?
A. We require a minimal down payment on our 36, 48 and 60 month leases and occasionally on our 24 month leases. You would be
required to pay the first payment plus the delivery charge up front as well. With our Green Sky option, you would make one
payment plus any delivery charges. Learn more about our optional Green Sky option here.
Q. Will I have to pay any fees if I pay my lease off early?
A. No! Your lease can be paid off early, in full, without penalty! It is always a savings to you to pay before your lease is up.
Q. I'm concerned I won't be approved. Will you check my credit on the Rent to Own?
A. No! We do not check your credit. Everyone is approved. Leasing a building will not lower your credit score like a loan would. On the installment option, a credit check is necessary. The Green Sky Installment loan option requires a credit check.
Q. What about delivery charges?
A. We deliver up to 80 miles with no delivery charge. After that, the charge is $4.00 per loaded mile for the 8’ and 10’ wide buildings.
The 12’ buildings are at $5.00 per loaded mile and the 14’ buildings are $6.00 per loaded mile.
Q. What if I move or I can't make the payments anymore?
A. You may cancel the lease on the Rent to Own – no questions asked – WITHOUT it affecting your credit at any time. We will pick up the building, and you don’t have to worry about anything. However, on the Green Sky Installment option, you would be responsible for
the payments of the total amount financed.
Q. Can I lease a building for purposes other than storage?
A. No. We are sorry that we cannot lease any buildings that will be used as a dwelling, kennel for animals, or for business use.
Q. Can I modify my building after I sign the lease?
A. You may not make any changes to your building without prior, written consent.
